UTM & Projection Conversion
Convert geographic latitude/longitude to UTM and between geographic coordinates and common projected coordinate systems used in surveying and geomatics.
Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM)
High-accuracy ellipsoidal UTM conversion using the standard 6° UTM zones and central-meridian scale factor.
Conversion
Geographic ↔ Projected Coordinates
Convert latitude/longitude to projected Easting/Northing, or invert a projected coordinate. Parameters use a spherical Web Mercator or ellipsoidal projection formulas.
Projection Setup
Transverse Mercator Parameters
Batch Latitude/Longitude ↔ UTM
Convert multiple points at once. Enter one point per line as Point,Latitude,Longitude for geographic input.
Batch Settings
For UTM → Lat/Long use: Point,Zone,Hemisphere,Easting,Northing

Important surveying notes
UTM conversion changes the coordinate representation on the selected ellipsoid. It does not perform a datum shift between WGS 84, NAD83, local datums, etc. A true datum transformation requires transformation parameters or a recognized geodetic transformation pipeline.
For custom Transverse Mercator, Lambert Conformal Conic and Albers Equal Area, enter the projection parameters used by the target CRS. Units are metres and angles are degrees unless stated otherwise.
UTM uses longitude to determine zone: zone = floor((λ + 180) / 6) + 1. The UTM latitude limits are approximately 80°S to 84°N.
